Susan Bayley,  16th January , Gloucester Cathedral
We've just heard Cheryl's coffee recital at Gloucester Cathedral. Absolutely beautiful. We chatted to her afterwards and she is warm, friendly and totally down to earth.
Cheryl will grace any occasion - such a shame I'm already married.......I'd love to have had her sing at my wedding!

Yesterday was the first 'Coffee Concert' we have been to at Gloucester and just to say how much we enjoyed your voice and performance. I hope you found it worthwhile, if a little cold. It was a good mix of pieces. I just wonder how long it takes to memorise it all!

My wife and I look forward to hearing you again. Good luck for 2010.

Video Games Live (Cardiff, Wales) :: Report by Chris Square Enix Music Online. (VIP to event).
Introduced on video by creator David Jaffe, the God of War performance was one of the most impressive on the evening. The orchestra brought a lot of depth and humanity to the previously sampled compositions. In particular, the operatic vocalist for "The Great Sword Bridge of Athena" made the piece her own with a spectacular and haunting performance (as Tommy Tallarico put it to me during the rehearsal, "Wow, she's good"). The subsequent rendition of "The Vengeful Spartan" had an action-packed feel and a strong rhythmical impetus. The video projections were also effective here in emphasising the game as a Greek tragedy.

Cheryl Roberts, a founder member of the Girl’s Choir, gave yesterday’s  Lunchtime Recital at Bristol Cathedral.
Pieces chosen for the programme included opera, operetta and musicals.
Two items by the earliest of the composers, Henry Purcell, included the popular Evening Hymn. This was followed by arias by Bach, Handel and Mozart.
Moving on to the 20th century, The Sun, Whose Rays by Sullivan was presented with great feeling.
The only modern composer, Elizabeth Maconchy was represented by Ophelia’s ,  Song, and Cheryl gave a very confident reading of this testing work.
After Wishing You Were Here from Phantom of the Opera, with all its poignancy, Cheryl concluded with Gounod‘s Je Veux Vivre, a lively number which gave her a chance to show off the terrific range of her voice.
Her strong and expressive projection suited the sometimes variable acoustics of the building, and her bubbly personality was just right for this varied concert.

We entered the cathedral to hear the lunchtime recital and we were pleasantly surprised a first class performance from a well practised soprano her voice was excellent a wide choice of classical vocal music was presented to the audience her vocal range and clarity was indeed first class, performed with great gusto she sang with imense feeling well worth the visit from what must be a rising star in the classical music field, we hope to hear her again sometime in the future. We wish Cheryl the best of luck for what ever the future may hold for this dynamic exciting performer.

Karen & Rick Sims - Wedding Bristol
Cheryl sang two beautiful songs during our civil wedding service and was really ameniable to adapting the songs to suit the civil occasion. Cheryl also performed two differently styled songs for us, one accoustic and one to backing music to suit what we wanted. We were very impressed , Cheryl has a beautiful voice and was a very friendly person. Our wedding guests were very impressed that we had such professional and talented singer at our wedding. I would highly recommend her as a very ammeniable and talented singer, who was able to give our wedding something different and special.

Claire Quinn-Wedding , Bristol.
We heard Cheryl sing Pie Jesu at a friends wedding and were blown away by her voice. We booked her to sing Ave Maria at our own wedding and we were exceptionally happy with her performance. She was very friendly yet professional and really accommodating, singing in Italian rather than German for us when we changed our minds!
Her voice was so beautiful and clear it gave me goose bumps and every guest was asking about her afterwards and saying how incredible she was. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

"This was a completely entrancing and successful presentation of a highly complex and musically challenging work, and accounted for one of those rare occasions across the years when an adjudicator wishes to put down his pen and enjoy a memorable evening of theatre."
